PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Professional project management is essential to the successful outcome of any project, large or
small, near or remote. IWP have trained personnel positioned strategically to liaise with our stakeholders
and oversee the installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of every project we are involved in.
Service and maintenance is important to us. Our quality systems ensure that service work is done on time and
to a high international standard.
A Project Approach to Consulting
Our consultants approach every task as a project. We utilise a number of project management
tools including Microsoft Project and processes developed by Kepner-Tregoe and others. Whether it is an
environmental impact assessment, a community discussion, or a site investigation, every task is properly
planned and executed. We have learned, especially in remote area projects, that an hour spent planning is
more important than an hour in the field.
Installation and Commissioning
In cases where we are involved in the supply of equipment we employ our international
installation team. They professionally oversee the installation and commissioning process. It is our
preference to use our own fully trained and professional personnel to project manage this work. The key to
system longevity is high quality installation engineering. During the commissioning process we test all
systems and it is only when the system is brought on line and performing at the level required that we sign
over the project.
Service and Maintenance
Where required our Service and Maintenance Team manage the project after it has been installed.
They are equipped with appropriate vehicles, tools, and training and are trained to integrate closely with
our client’s management structure.
IWP Services have teams of trained personnel positioned strategically to install,
commission, service and maintain every project we are involved in. Service and maintenance is important to us. Our
Regional Service Managers all report to our International Service Manager and quality systems ensure that service
work is done on time and to a high international standard.
